The New Hot Desk location
Nestled in the picturesque Cheshire countryside, the historic market town of Neston is known for its charming, tranquil atmosphere and a wealth of fascinating buildings. However, despite its scenic beauty, the town has struggled with inadequate mobile connectivity. The landscape’s natural dip, coupled with the distance from the nearest mobile mast, has made it difficult for residents and businesses to maintain reliable mobile signal.
Recently, a new hot desk location opened in Neston. While the building’s unique, robust structure adds to its aesthetic appeal, it inadvertently created a significant challenge: none of the mobile network operators could provide coverage inside. This lack of mobile signal posed a considerable barrier to the business’s vision of offering seamless, instant connectivity for customers walking in.
The objective Achieved
To address the mobile connectivity issue, we installed a directional antenna at the top of the building to capture signals from all major mobile network operators. This antenna was connected to an IR5-UK repeater, which then distributed the signal throughout the building.
To ensure full mobile coverage across all floors, we installed three small panel antennas, one on each level. This setup not only provided consistent signal strength but also ensured seamless mobile connectivity for users in every part of the building.
Thanks to the placement of the external antenna, we were able to provide coverage for 2G, 3G, 4G, and even 5G (depending on the operator) throughout the entire building.
Customers entering from the street, where they initially experienced no mobile signal, were welcomed by stable connectivity as soon as they entered the building. www.connectneston.co.uk
